Technology is nice, it really is but I think it's making us more and more dependent on less personal forms of communication. I admit I'm pretty old-school when it comes to a lot of things and especially when it comes to dating or like they used to say back in the day "courting". Text-messaging is fun and convenient when you're out and about or at work and just want to send off a quick message. What I can't get with is using text messaging as the only means of communicating with a person..ie, a full out conversation....ummmmm no, not my thing.
I remember a while back telling a friend about a guy I had met and that all he wanted to do was text message instead of actually calling and she was like "you need to get you a man 40 and over because that's what the younger men are into these days". I was pretty much like well I don't care if it's the year 2050 I still like to talk on the phone from time to time. I think maybe I was born in the wrong decade. I should have been dating in the 1950's or 60's when they had these or wrote hand-written love letters, or took you to the local diner for a milk-shake...lol. Being the hopeless Leo romantic that I am that would have been right up my alley.
I guess it was no surprise then that this quiz said I tend to fall for the sensitive romantic types. Sounds about right...the type that picks up the phone and actually calls...lol. That's about all I have to say about that. ~More later.

It's said that I will fall for the girl next door type. Thant sounds about right.
I hear ya. I think, if you allow it, technology will slowly erode the good communication that it takes to maintain any kind of relationship.
I used to be so anti-text...until I got a BB....shame on me. It's definitely not my sole means of communication, but it does make it a little easier to stay in touch but for romantic relationships there should be a balance.
I'm pretty big on face 2 face communication, but if I had 2 choose one I would talk on the phone because texting can be misinterpreted at times or aleast when I do it. I feel that tone can be confusing if u aren't that text savy.
@CurvyGurl..I still have a flip phone so I'm wayyyy behind the times..lol *smh*
@Champ..Text savy.....so whatchu tryin to say I don't know how to text? LOL!!! I'm trippin.
I'm over 40 and I like to text. Don't look at my statement, because you'll see that I send thousands of texts a month.
But then again, I just love to hear a soft feminine voice. There's just something about the tone and texture of the sounds of a feminine voice that puts me completely at ease.
@ Reggie...wow thousands of texts a month? I'd need the unlimited plan for that. Now females I don't mind texting you ain't gotta call me but if it's a man trying to get next to me then ummmmm he gonna need to get them fingers to dialing..lol
.......ahhhh that's precisely why I have that unlimited text/picture messaging plan.
