It's been a while since I've last written. Between starting a new job, petty drama on the new job, and making steps to get back in school to get my Master's degree I've been a little drained lately. It's funny how catty and vindictive women, in my case black women, can be on the job. Instead of trying to help each other, we rather tear each other apart, it's sad. That's all I'm gonna say about that for now, I don't want to dwell on the negativity of it all. I'm so looking forward to a lot of big changes in 2011 in every area of my life.
I'm in a cooking mood today. I'm gonna make my favorite stuffed pasta shells and for some reason I have a taste for sweet potato pie. I've never made one from scratch so I'm gonna try my hand at it today and see how it turns out. If it looks delectable then I'll post pics...lol. Oh by the way, I fell off the vegetarian wagon months ago. I didn't last one month.....that darned Taco Bell.
Well, that's all I have for now......will have to start updating my blog more often. ~More later.
**Update** The sweet potato pie came out really well for it to be my first time. I used a graham cracker crust and I think I'll be making this one for Xmas. Touch-down.....yeah!

I couldn't be a vegetarian; but are you seriously gonna tell me that Taco Hell of all places had you Jonesing for meat?!? I did go meatless this past June, but one month kicked my ass. I won't be doing that again anytime soon.
Good luck on your Masters Degree. I've had a Bachelors for 20 years and I've been too lazy to go back myself.
I've also run into women who specialized in the crab complex in the workplace....you guys are something.
I'd be going to Mexican restaurants and ordering the cheese enchiladas just wasn't cutting it for me.lol
As far as the Master's, I'm gonna take as many classes as I can online. Being in my 30's I gotta do it now before I get out of the going to school mode.
lol @ reggie!
Methinks cattiness is a direct reaction to someone feeling jealous or insecure, & this becomes their defense mechanism. It's kinda sad really. But it shouldn't chafe too much as long as you know where it's coming from. It says much more about THEM than you.
Meanwhile, g'on get that Masters, gurrrl! Nuff respect!
One.
Congrats on getting in grad school! BTW I love that quote about fate! May I please borrow it?
@ Moanerplicity....thankfully I'm no longer working in the same group with a couple of the people who were getting on my nerves. God works in mysterious ways :-)
@ Daij....I love that quote too...feel free to use it. Never know when I might end up grabbing one from you, I see you are the Quote King :-)
Hey chica! Just stopping by to say hello :-)
